Meet Parminder
Parminder is a loving husband, proud father, and caring grandfather. He immigrated to Canada at 18 from India and had a successful 35-year career in Fort McMurray at the Oil Sands of Syncrude, where he grew roots in the Sikh and Indian community and raised his family.
In September 2024, Parminder was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS). He looks forward to creating more memories with his family, especially his grandson. His only hope for a cure is a stem cell transplant.
The Need is Critical
Every year, hundreds of South Asian patients need stem cell transplants, but many struggle to find matching donors due to underrepresentation in the registry.
